We all love to play pranks on our loved ones. Sometimes they work and sometimes they fail but at least one person in the process had a lot of fun. The following couple are constantly pranking each other until the prank turns into reality and the other partner doesn’t fall for it again.
Charlotte, 28, pranked her husband just two weeks earlier that she had won the EuroMillions. So when she called him at the office to tell him that she had matched 5 numbers and one lucky star number winning £1m, he wasn’t having it and told lottery officials, “I didn’t believe her at all because we like to wind each other up.”
Self-employed carpenter Daniel was at work when he got the call from an excited Charlotte. Instead of falling for the same prank twice, he said, ‘I can’t talk to you right now love’ and ended up putting his brother on the phone.
What Daniel did not realise was that Charlotte was, in fact, telling the truth this time and had matched five numbers on EuroMillions in the draw on 28 August.
It was only when she sent him a screenshot of the winning message that he got the shock of his life realising that his wife was not having him on.
Plans for the £1m EuroMillions lottery win
Speaking to lottery officials while claiming their lucky win, the happy couple said that they plan to buy a larger home in their hometown of Whittlesey, near Peterborough so that their three children could each have their own bedrooms.
Dean said, “All the kids have earned their own bedrooms, they're all excited about that and we're looking forward to the next adventure in our lives."
They have already treated their children to hoverboards and a Nintendo Switch.
From pocket change to a million
What was interesting to find out, was the fact that Charlotte had used the last of her online funds to buy the winning EuroMillions lottery ticket.
It just goes to show you that you don’t have to spend a fortune to win a life-changing prize playing the lottery online.
Have you checked the available funds in your online account lately?
There may just be enough for a EuroMillions lottery ticket that could see you laughing all the way to the bank tomorrow.
