The EuroJackpot top prize of €90m was finally won on Friday with two tickets sold in Germany sharing the jackpot.
Two EuroJackpot lottery players, both from German states of Hesse and Saxony-Anhalt are currently thanking their lucky stars that they bought EuroJackpot tickets into the massive €90 million jackpot cap last Friday as their numbers hit the bullseye!
Both euro lotto correctly played 2-7-24-38-45 plus the right two bonus balls, 5 and 8 bagging themselves the accumulated 15-week cash pile up of €90 million top EuroJackpot cap prize. They will each pocket an eye-watering €45 million.
EuroJackpot Hessen winner
According to a spokesperson for the EuroJackpot in Hessen, the lucky winner, who has opted to remain anonymous bought the ticket just four hours before the deadline at a Frankfurt lottery office.
EuroJackpot Saxony-Anhalt winner
The Saxony-Anhalt Eurojackpot winner, who has also opted to keep their identity private bought four tickets into the incredible EuroJackpot draw on Friday evening.
According to EuroJackpot lottery officials they have already handed in their winning ticket in south Saxony-Anhalt.
Westlotto spokesman Bodo Kemper told DPA news agency on Saturday, "That was the longest jackpot run we had at state lottery companies in Germany."
The last time the EuroJackpot was won was on March 23rd.
Bodo Kemper went on to say that it is customary for the winners to receive advice from the organisation and that their first piece of advice is to, "Keep calm". Lotto winners should be careful who they talk to.
Their advice also especially applies to young lottery players who win the lottery and may be thinking twice about completing their studies in favour of living the lottery lifestyle.
The EuroJackpot was launched back in 2012 and is now available in eighteen countries. This was the fifth time that the maximum jackpot cap of €90 million was reached.
Officials said that there were roughly 42.5 million EuroJackpot lottery tickets purchased for Friday night’s draw.
With so many EuroJackpot lottery tickets sold, the two lucky German winners weren’t the only ones who managed to get lucky on Friday night. There were 24 millionaires in addition to the two German multimillionaires, each receiving €999,914.60. Thirteen of them are from Germany.
The La Primitiva draw was also won on Thursday, July 5. Two lucky La Primitiva lottery ticket holders who purchased their tickets in Malaga and Marbella both won a total of €27.9m. Their tickets matched the winning La Primitiva numbers 11-13-31-32-47-49 and the Reintegro 04. Two other tickets also won the runners-up prize of €457.954.65.
Both SuperEnalotto draws on Thursday and Saturday ended up rolling over. There was a €11.1m jackpot prize up for grabs on Thursday but nobody managed to match 03-51-55-64-77-79 and the Jolly 34. This Tuesday there will, therefore, be €12.1 million.
The EuroMillions also rolled over on Friday evening with tickets failing to win the €55 million jackpot. The EuroMillions winning lottery numbers were: 08-30-33-38-48 and the two Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 10.
The second tier saw 2 EuroMillions lottery ticket holders winning €549,967.90. The jackpot up for grabs this Tuesday is €62 million.
Friday night’s Mega Millions lotto game offered USA lottery players the chance to win $283 million. The winning Mega Millions lottery numbers were 02-10-46-50-56 and the Mega Ball 16. A single ticket from Florida matched the five main balls to win the $1 million second-tier prize.
The following day it was the UK Lotteries turn to see whether it too could instantly catapult a lottery player into millions with a jackpot worth £9.056 million. Lady Luck, however, had other ideas and more than likely would like to see the jackpot climb a little more, so the draw ended in a rollover. With no tickets matching 17-18-29-48-52-54 and the Bonus Ball 01, Wednesday will see players chasing a £10.5m top prize.
The US Powerball lottery also failed to produce an $80 million jackpot winner on Saturday with numbers 01-10-43-45-64 and the Powerball 22. One ticket sold in Puerto Rico won the second-tier prize to become a lottery millionaire. Wednesday sees a jackpot of $90 million up for grabs.
