Irelands done it again with a lucky single ticket matching all five numbers and both Lucky Stars in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw to win a jackpot worth €17 million (£14.8 million)!
If you think it’s a case of déjà vu, it’s because this fantastic EuroMillions jackpot win comes just days after another Irish jackpot winner came forward to claim a €4 million (£3.5 million) Lotto win.
Winning EuroMillions numbers for Tuesday 5th June
The winning EuroMillions numbers in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw were 9, 15, 22, 39, and 46, with Lucky Stars 4 and 5.
A EuroMillions spokesperson said: “This is amazing news! What a great start to the summer for this lucky ticket holder. We are asking all our players to check their tickets carefully to see if they are the lucky winner or winners.
“If they are we encourage them to sign the back of the ticket, keep it safe and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 01 836 4444. We are open from 9.15am [on Wednesday] and we will make arrangements for you to collect this unbelievable prize.”
As yet, the lucky Irish EuroMillions jackpot winner has not come forward to claim the seriously life-changing prize, but it’s still early days and they are more than likely receiving the best possible financial advice before coming forward. They have 90 days from the date of the draw to come forward. This latest win from Ireland is the 13th of its kind. In just the last month we’ve seen Irish players win over €22 million.
With the EuroMillions dropping down to its minimum jackpot size, all eyes are now on another hugely popular European lotto games, the EuroJackpot.
It’s reached the jackpot cap of €90 million and online euro lotto players will be ensuring that they buy EuroJackpot lottery tickets online in the hope that they can win the big prize in the next draw due to be held on Friday 8 June.
It’s not just the top prize in the EuroJackpot draw that’s attracting players to the draw, as ever since the jackpot reached its maximum €90m, the money that would have gone to increasing the top prize, has been going down to the second-tier level. This means that you could quite easily become a lottery millionaire by not even matching all the top prize lucky EuroJackpot winning numbers!
To win the EuroJackpot jackpot, players need to match all seven numbers.
The EuroJackpot winning numbers for Friday were 14-19-21-30-32 and the two Euro Numbers 04 and 07.
Three EuroJackpot ticket holders managed to scoop substantial prizes in the second-tier prize winning €7,318,844.80 each.
With this Friday’s secondary prize fund still steadily increasing, those lucky enough to scooping a prize in this prize tier will be bagging a hefty prize.
Thanks to rule changes that took place in 2014, EuroJackpot lottery players have been enjoying bigger jackpot prizes. This however, is also due to the fact that more countries joined the fold. In May 2015 one ticket sold in the Czech Republic landed the €90m EuroJackpot prize – and broke the record.
We also just have to look at 2017 to see that the Eurojackpot produced a record eleven jackpot wins.
So far 2018 has seen three jackpot wins, including a Finnish player who won a €90m EuroJackpot windfall in the 9 February draw.
If you too would like to add your name to the EuroJackpot winner’s list – then now is the perfect time to buy a EuroJackpot lottery ticket online, right here at PlayEuroMillions.com, as this Friday will see more lottery euro millionaires created and a winner of the €90 million top prize!

Lottery officials have confirmed that the latest EuroMillions winners who won €17.4 million are members of a 32-person euro lotto syndicate. The lottery winners work at a well-known hardware store in Co Tipperary.
They all work for Stakelum’s Home and Hardware business in Thurles. Although official said that due to the fact that they still need to go through certain procedures, the lucky EuroMillions lottery syndicate are expected to claim their prize within the coming week.
National Lottery headquarters would not confirm the identity of the group members on Wednesday morning, but they did say that they are the members made contact earlier in the day.
Miriam Donoghue, a lottery spokeswoman said: “It is a syndicate, but we are not confirming anything beyond that.
“We have procedures to go through. We are making arrangements for the money to be claimed. It takes some days for all of the money from the EuroMillions to land in our account.”
A staff member at the popular hardware and homeware shop in Tipperary confirmed that the Euromillions “was won by a syndicate here in Stakelum’s”.
She continues saying that there were 32 people in the syndicate, out of about 70 staff members at the hardware store. She however would not reveal who the members of the lottery syndicate were.
Doing the math though, each winner will take home €543,000.
Where the actual winning EuroMillions ticket was purchased has yet to be revealed, but it is a local shop in Thurles.
The lucky numbers were 9, 15, 22, 39, 46 and the lucky stars were 4 and 5.
The hardware store where all 32 members work, was established in 1960 and has been family-run business ever since, currently being managed by John and Pat Stakelum.
