Adam and Amy Pryor, from Maidstone in Kent, England recently won £1 million on the EuroMillions lottery. The euro lotto win couldn’t have come at a better time, as their eight-month-old daughter is suffering significant health problems.
It’s another Millionaire Maker to the rescue. After matching the code, mum Amy was finally able to quit her nursery manager job to look after her daughter Charlotte, and dad Adam can stop having to constantly work overtime to pay the costly bills.
Mr Pryor, 33, said he’s extremely relieved to have won such a huge amount on the EuroMilions lottery as their finances were looking exceptionally grim.
“Lady Luck has stepped in and we couldn’t be more relieved,” said dad Adam.
The couple said that they found out that they had won the £1m EuroMillions prize in the August 29 draw when Adam received an email first thing in the following morning. Thinking that it was just the usual few quid, he ignored the email.
It was approximately an hour later that he opened the email to read its contents that he realised it was a bit more than a few quid. At first glance it seemed like they had won £1,000, which was amazing news. He then realized there were too many noughts and that they had actually won £1 million!
He immediately told his wife, who told him to shut up and stop being silly. Not believing your partner when they tell you they just won the lottery is quite common. Touchingly, mom Amy, 28, said they’d give all their EuroMillions winnings back in a heartbeat if it meant Charlotte’s health problems could be resolved.
It’s terribly sad when dealing with a loved one’s illness, especially that of child, and we certainly hope that the EuroMillions prize will help with any costs, and future treatment to get Charlotte on the road to recovery.
