THE SUPERENALOTTO LOTTERY (SUPERENALOTTO)
History Of SuperEnaLotto
| The popular SuperEnaLotto from Italy started out life as the ‘EnaLotto’ back in the 1950’s. Lottery organisers SISAL revamped the ‘EnaLotto’ in 1997 and created the SuperEnaLotto. Until 2009 the winning SuperEnaLotto numbers were drawn from the first winning numbers taken from regional lottery draws held by Lottomatica in 7 different Italian cities: |
|
- Bari
- Florence
- Milan
- Naples
- Palermo
- Rome
- Venice (for the bonus “Jolly” number)
From 2009 onwards, the SuperEnaLotto winning numbers were selected in one single draw independently of the Lottomatica draws.
How To Play SuperEnaLotto
SuperEnaLotto has a very simple 6/90 selection process. Players need to pick 6 numbers from between 1 and 90. A player wins the SuperEnaLotto jackpot when they match all 6 main numbers drawn. An extra bonus ball (the “jolly” number) is also drawn to give those who matched 5 balls an additional chance of taking home a bigger prize.
SuperEnaLotto Rollovers And Giant Jackpots
SuperEnalotto winning jackpots are some of the highest in the world because there is no cap on the jackpot amount and no roll down of jackpots. It should therefore come as no surprise that it is one of the most attractive lottery games in the world.
There have been many giant SuperEnaLotto jackpots over the years. The top jackpots won are as follows:
- €71,767,565.57 - won on May 4, 2005 by a single ticket shared by ten customers in Milan
- €100,756,197.30 - won on October 23, 2008 by a single ticket in Catania
- €147,807,299.08 - won on August 22, 2009 by one ticket holder in Bagnone
- €177,800,000 - was won by one ticket holder on October 30, 2010
