EBAY FOR MILLIONAIRES WHERE MINIMUM BID IS £10,000

While most online bidders use eBay to buy concert tickets, books and second-hand CDs, shoppers on MillionairesBay are being given the chance to buy items such as Whiston Hall, a Staffordshire hotel and golf course set over 100 acres.

The mansion, just three miles from Alton Towers theme park, boasts an 18-hole golf course, and is one of the most sought-after treasures on the millionaire’s bidding site, which was launched in January 2008.
 
The MillionairesBay site boasts the slogan, 'Acquire what you desire’, and only features lots worth over US£10,000. It receives more than 5,000 visitors a day.

The description for Whiston Hall on MillionairesBay says: “Whiston Hall Golf Club and Mansion Court Hotel is a handsome, fabulous hall and 18 holes golf course set in the heart of Staffordshire, just three miles from Alton Towers.

“Hosting countless weddings, luxury golf breaks and corporate hospitality every year, Whiston Hall is Staffordshire’s premier venue.

“The grounds to Whiston Hall extend to over 100 acres. The hotel has currently nine ensuite rooms and has full planning permission for a further 48 to be converted.

“Whiston Hall has fabulous potential and scope to have spa treatments on site.”

Louise Cliff, who has owned Whiston Hall for the last 15 years, said: “”We came across MillionairesBay on a web search and the site seemed a fun way to do this really.

“We’re serious about selling and thought why not give this a go.

“We’re hoping to hit the valuation and maybe get a few bidders you wouldn’t attract with a normal sale.”
