Euromillions has certainly seen its fair share of giant lottery winners, including many from the UK.

While searching for a used replacement for her washing machine on the internet Cassey decided to double check the Tuesday EuroMillions results on her mobile phone.

"I checked the numbers against the ones there, but it wasn't sinking in that they were the same," she said.

When they were asked about their immediate reaction to their jackpot win, Cassey was quoted as saying “"The first thought was how much we could help our families."

She said she wanted to buy an Aston Martin motor car and to build a new house with the winnings, while Mr Topham said he planned to learn to fly.
