THE UK NATIONAL LOTTERY
History:
| The UK National Lottery is the largest lottery in the United Kingdom. It is operated by Camelot Group, to whom the licence was granted in 1994, 2001 and again in 2007. The lottery is regulated by The National Lottery Commission. The National Lottery undertook a major rebranding programme in 2002 designed to combat falling sales. This resulted in the main game being renamed Lotto. However, the games as a collective are still known as The National Lottery. It is one of the most popular forms of gambling in the United Kingdom. | ![]() |

THE AUSTRALIAN OZLOTTO LOTTERY (OZLOTTO)
History:
|
Oz Lotto is an Australian national lottery game, administered by Tattersall's and played on Tuesday nights. It was introduced on 26 February 1994 and promoted as the first fully national lotto game, at a time when the state of New South Wales was not a part of Saturday National Lotto. Originally, the game required six numbers to be picked out of 45. However, since 18 October 2005, a seventh number began to be drawn, greatly lengthening the odds of winning Division 1 (close, but not longer, than that of Powerball). In line with this change, branding for Oz Lotto changed in many states, to emphasise the seventh ball (including new names, such as Super 7's Oz Lotto in Tatts regions, and Oz 7 Lotto in Queensland). |

THE MEGA-SENA Lottery (Brazilian National Lottery)
History:
| The Mega-Sena is the largest lottery in Brazil, held by the Caixa Econômica Federal bank. Draws happen twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The drawings consisted of picking from 2 spinning from spherical metal cages. Numbers were picked in pairs and formed a 2 digit decimal number from 01 to 60. Since draw No. 1140, the two cages were replaced by a single acrylic globe containing the balls numbered from 01 to 60, all colored, one color for 0 to 10, another from 10 to 20 and so forth, six colors in all. This procedure has made the draw faster and greatly reduced the possibility of repeated numbers. |
